The TS-2000 is much better than in the page of Rob Sherwood. The source of
the numbers is the ARRL/QST review but Rob's numbers are wrong. You can look
yourself in the advanced review. According to the diagrams the IMD3 is 67 dB
@ 2 kHz. This is 2 dB difference to the FT-1000V, MP and D. You will not
notice a that when the difference is only 2 dB.

Betreff: [Kenwood] TS-2000 INRAD Roofing filter

I am interested in purchasing a new transceiver for HF/VHF/UHF. Looking at
the Sherwood Engineering measurements of dynamic range for the TS-2000, it
seems to be pretty low in comparison to other transceivers on the market
such as the TS-480SAT or IC-746PRO (maybe even the Yaesu FT-450). Has
anybody tried the roofing filter mod for this transceiver from INRAD and
have experience with the performance of the TS-2000 after?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Anthony
