[Kenwood] Sherwood Engineering and DSP

I also have a TS530SP and I think it is one of the quietest receivers I have
used. It beats the IC706 and the IC730, and TS430 which I used to have. I
still use my IC735 and haven't found anything else I like better than those
2 radios.I plan to have enough saved by Christmas to get a new K3 with dual
receivers. It will be the first NEW rig since 1987 as I got the others used.
I plan to put the IC735 in the truck again and have the 530 as the backup. I
do have a GAP dsp unit in the audio output of the TS530 and only use it when
necessary. I am very satisfied with it's performance. There are many times
when the line noise is so bad on 80 and 40 that I cannot hear anything less
than S7 without it.

Healthfully yours,
                          Don W4BWS
