[Kenwood] MCP-D700 - update

Is there an update for the MCP-D700 program for loading/saving/updating the settings in the TM-D700?  I don't see it on the website (2001  V1.1 !!!).  Guess they think it works.

I was going to be safe and also update some memory assignments BUT screwed it up bad.  I did radio - read - all - file save - changed the message from "listening 146.52" to "listening 146.67" and then radio - write.  MESSED UP.  The program screwed up my pf keys that I had set to use an external keyboard, turned off my BCON, changed my power settings, changed the frequency on my "B" band and I don't know how much else got zapped.  Looks to me like the "radio - read - all" should have at least retrieved everything from the radio it was going to write back but NOOOO.

Is there an update or something besides the Kenwood program that might even actually work?
