[Kenwood] TS850 and the SM220 issues

To all the folks who are trying to figure out what heck I'm talking
about, I'll try to make my problem as clear as mud.

I had a TS820 and on the front panel was a calibrate control that
generated a 25khz marker signal to calibrate the VFO. In the paper work
for the SM220, page 15, 8-4 Adjustment of the BS-5/BS-8. Step 3
"Function switch to CAL 25 KHZ and peak the drive control for MAX "S"
meter reading. That is what I meant by "hidden" switches inside the
TS850, a switch inside the TS850 that might turn on a calibration marker
signal that the TS820 had on the front panel.

The closest thing I have handy is an old Heathkit 100kc xtal calibrator
and a Singer FM10 generator, I would guess in a pinch I could make those
work to do the adjustments inside the BS8.

So what the hey, where's my BFS and BFH, my motto is, if it doesn't
fit, force it, if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway. Besides my very
close and personal relative Mr Murphy is always looking over my shoulder
to watch the factory installed smoke leak out of things.

Thanks for the help everyone, this may not be that hard after all, and I
will keep all those in mind if I do decide to part it out.
