[Kenwood] TS-850S Delayed Power-Up

When I power up my TS-850S after being disconnected from the DC supply
for a few days it takes about 5-10 seconds for the transceiver to turn
on.  After this there is no problem and if I us it on a regular basis
it powers up instantly.

Has anybody had a similar experience?  I'm mainly concerned as to
whether or not this may be the first sign of a larger issue.
