TS-930SAT Serial #3060515

         1983.  The first digit is the year
and I believe the second two are either
the week or month of that production
run.  You will usually see the numbers
written XXX-YYYY for defining production
lot changes (YYYY being the actual S/N
within that run).  There was a major change
done at 310-XXXX so 310 prefixed S/N's
and above are much more desirable.

 >And when did the 930S  go out of production.

         Late 1980's.  I had one numbered
801-0004 so I know they at least went to
1988.  After the 940 was introduced, the
930 was manufactured in parallel awhile.
