[Kenwood] TS850SAT: too low power output

Dear all,
as posted last week, I've been using my TS850SAT as IF-rig for my 2m transverter (from 28MHz). Mainly in FSK441A-mode.
Until, the day I "lost" the drive power (about 100mW), to a level that wasn't enough to drive my transverter.
I've just checked its behaviour more closely and compared the bugger with another TS850S.
My findings are: the bugger produces a steady output power (in all modes and on all frequencies +/- 1-2dB) of -20dBm compared to about +20dBm for the proper working 850S. (with CAR and PWR fully CW) The modulation checked OK on another Rx. The power meter is with an AD8307 and is reliable.
This was measured at port CN2 of the RF-unit that is brought out at a chinch at the back of the rig.
FYI: The repair shop indicated that the proper power is there for a brief period but my instrument is too slow to see this...
Any advice?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Michel, ON7EH
