[Kenwood] TS 940

Recently purchased a TS 940 and when I plugged cord in and turned radio
on,found out no transmit or receive. I can hear some noise from speaker but
no signal.Also frequency display goes out after I turn radio on.When I turn
meter function knob to IC or VC there is no reading at all. So Im thinking
the worst, finals gone. Unless something came loose from handling and
shipping. Any ideas before I send it off.        Tnx
