[Kenwood] CAT Software

I have a TS-50S and a TS-440S. I am exploring software control (CAT) for both radios. I have all the hardware for both but need a software recommendation. 

I have a full licensed MxW 2.17 and that might be the best out there but treasure the wisdom of this group for other candidates.  I am not interested in Logging but understand that some logging software has good interfaces for these radios.

I also have problems with both radios but that is another set of messages.
