[Kenwood] TS440 Serial Numbers

John, to my knowledge there was no serial number above which the problem 
didn't exist.  I've only run across one guy who had a sure cure fix.  He 
charged $200 and spent 8 hours removing every component from the board, 
cleaning it, and reinstalling the components.  Not sure if he's still doing 
that procedure.

Darned shame Kenwood never stepped up to the plate and offered a board swap 
at a reasonable price.
