[Kenwood] TS-480 remote access

Greetings All,

I'm a new TS-480SAT owner -- nice rig!

I'd like to access it over the internet from my laptop when I'm away from
home.

I've downloaded/installed the two software pieces from the Kenwood website
(ARHP-10 on the shack PC and ARCP-480 on my laptop).  I've made/tested the
cables to connect the TS-480 to the shack PC.

I can connect to/control the TS-480 from the laptop, bur cannot get any
audio either way.  

What am I missing?  How does the audio get from the laptop to the shack PC?
The Kenwood doco talks (briefly) about
a "TAPI" interface -- ehat is that?  And the advertising lit mentions
"VoIP" -- isn't that SKYPE ?  Do I need that on teh laptop?
