[Kenwood] TS850 freq. Transmit changes for marine use

I want to say for the record that I do not condone operating a ham radio for CB or any other maliculus harful operating, I can see that I am already being branded with that. All I am saying that most of us have the ability to do so, does that make us illegal? If so then we sould sell our equipment and tear up out tickets. Alot of it is splitting hairs. Like the difference between so called export radios and so called legal ham gear. What is the definition of "Export Radio" I proposed this question to another group I am a mamber of and for the majority the answer was "any ham radio marketed that can be modified to operate outside of the ham band and TX on the CB radio band" Well most knolegable hams know that I would guess over 80 percent if not more HF radios sold today by the high end reputable hams radio companies (e.g. Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu ect.) are modifiable to operate in the CB band. Does this make them all export radios. There is a fine grey area. I am a realist and most don't want to or are afraid to admitt it but there is a grey area and most operators if you looked hard enough can say you all have violated one FCC regulation or another at one time in your license carreer. The FCC is not after operators that use good engineering practice, don't interfear with neighbors or other transmissions and, or cause any harm in any way but may commit a occasional infraction of the FCC rules. They are interested in getting the illegal freebanders that operate way out of line and push 5kw and wipe out a whole neighborhoods TV reception or trucking cominies that have drivers that operate in the 10 meter ham band to casually chat. This is just the weay it is. I may not like it and most of us should not like it but it is not a perfect world and that is just the way it is.
