[Kenwood] TS-570D Concerns.

My 570D will receive sigs under the same conditions you describe...40 and 20
meters...a signal on the antenna with an S9 reading is easily readable (CW)
on the antenna  position that has no antenna connected...not strong enough
to move the S meter...

The component you mention is a DSA301LA  and is in the circuit for surge
protection..they were also in the TS850 and probably others...
