[Kenwood] Knwd filter question

Hi Dennis,
Sorry I was a little mistaken. It seems both YG88C and YK88C are 8.83MHz
centre frequency but I know there is a difference. I know the YK-88C is on a
small plug in board but I can easily fabricate that for my YG-88C and I was
sure the difference is more significant. I was going to put the YG88C in my
TS930 which normally uses YK88C and YG455C filters as does my TS940 and I
think the TS830. For some reason I didn't do it and can only think it was
because of an incompatability. If there is a way to use the YG88C in my
TS930 then I would certainly like to do so but if not then a swap for a
YK88C or selling it to someone who can use it would make more sense.

Martin,
Thanks so much for your reply. The reason for my question, is that the YK
filter induces insertion loss on transmit in the 820 series, but no loss in
the 830 series. I figured there had to be a difference. I appreciate your
reply. INRAD lists the same filter for both the 820 and 830 series, but
again, insertion loss results in the 820.
