[Kenwood] Kenwood TH-215 Handheld

Bob,

My suggestion for your battery problem is to buy one or two of the
Kenwood battery cases for the Kenwood TH-215, 315, 415 series.  They hold
6 AA cells (7.2V).  I have several of them to support my 4 such units,
and they work great.  This gives you great flexibility for charging,
either as a package or as cells.  2000mAH NiMH AA cells run as low as
about $0.60 apiece (in 10pks), and the battery case never wears out!!

Bought my battery cases from Pacific Coast Parts here in Gardena, CA (LA
area), they are Stock Number KA02-0728-13, price was $18.13 each + tax
and any shipping.  Their Gardena, CA, phone is 800-421-5080.

Don't know where you are, but Pacific Coast Parts also has stores in
Fremont, CA, (SF area) 800-522-7757; and in Portland, OR, 800-338-6342.

Regarding the schematic.  I have one that I would be willing to copy for
you in pieces that you would have to cut and paste together (it is
roughly 18" x 18"), if you cannot find a better solution.
