I've had my TS-600 since it first came out and still is use it today. The
thing is a workhorse. It's been on countless Field Days, VHF contests,
and band openings. It's been mobile when I had the room. It's driven
brick and tube type amplifiers for many years. I've run it on SSB, AM,
CW, and even a few times on FM. It's been loaded into yagi's, whips,
halos, a 75 meter inverted vee, etc. and still keeps on ticking. The only
mod I can remember doing on this unit was replacing the 3SK40's with low
noise 3SK48's in the RF front end. The only service over these last 25+
years was replacing several burned out lamps behind the front panel. This
rig, like my TS-830S, will probably never leave my station.
