Depends on what you want to do... CW, SSB, DIGITAL, etc...
The Kenwood filter numbers are:
YK-88S 2.1Khz (I think this might be the standard filter)
YK-88SN 1.8Khz
YK-88C 500Hz CW
YK-88CN 270Hz CW
You can download the manual off the web, just Google it and you will find.
I have recently used the INRAD CW filter in mine and it does a good job.
