[Kenwood] 23 cm rig wanted

Hi - As a 'new kid on the block', and really appreciate the range of topics
covered in various discussions. I'm certain it will help my trouble-shooting
skills.

I'm in VK land - Oz - and we seem to have very little in the way of 23 cm
rigs around, particularly second hand. I was wondering whether anyone in the
group has something like a TM521A (or something similar?) sitting on a shelf
somewhere that they may feel disposed to get rid of? Some idea of $s these
are going for would be helpful.

Comments on the rig would also be of interest, as I've never sighted one.

I know this reflector isn't really a buy/sell site, however I would be most
appreciative if someone could help. Perhaps a reply off-reflector would be
appropriate. We have a new repeater in the area and want to play with this
new (for me) freq.

When I get my 850 up and running, I'll post some photos of what a lightening
surge through an external PS (written off!) did to an 850. Damage to boards,
including IF, was incredible. This was my main reason for joining up with
the group and I'm enjoying the discussion. The depth of experience in
members is invaluable.
