1)The OM with the 870, I am not sure if this reflector allows what appears to 
be a bogus call sign. SO SO SORRY, if it is some new format I do not know 
about.
perhaps managment can tell me if that is allowed.

  I do not mind anon questions that deal with general operation.
HOWEVER ANTHING TX ...NO!  Your problem is RX, however I do not have that 
chematic punched up. It could be in a circuit the TX will use. I have a 
commercial ticket to protect.

  My question. I have a broken Ts-850sat. I can always get another late year 
Ts-850.
I just got a K-2. I wanted to discuss using much of a non working Ts-850.
 
   The RF speech proc and twin IF PBT IN THE 850 are second to none. I also 
wanted to use the 100W brick andTATU in the 850. I would have a nice combo rig.
The k2 for portable under 15W ops. i KNOW ABOUT CONVERION SCHEMS.

   I could then CAN USE sections of the 850 that still work. The final and 
filters plus the ATU make it worth it.

 I thought it would be great to get everybody's input. HOWEVER THIS IS A 
KENWOOD ONLY SITE, I LIKE IT THAT WAY.

  I would never want to slow down many other kenwood hams repairing thier 
kenwood rigs.

   The reflector for the k-2 by proxy is conflict of interest!
