IF1 cable should RCA phono to RCA phono; IF2 should have RCA phono to
BNC(connects to front of SM-220). If connections between SM-220 and rig
are between 0 and 3 feet, standard audio type cables(Radio Shack cheap
stuff) will work fine. RF connections on rear of SM-220 should be self
explanatory; RF from rig/amplifier gozinta SM-220 and RF gozotta SM-220
to antenna or tuner or SWR bridge. If you use a rig and an amplifier, the
SM-220 can go between exciter and amplifier and also between amplifier
and antenna, tuner, or bridge. There are no mysteries here.

Note: If you're also an Icom user of rigs with spectral type displays or
have seen pictures of them, the SM-220 display, with the BS8 or BS5, in
no way compares with the "modern" stuff.
