[Kenwood] Question abt TS-850

Hi All...
        Perhaps I missed the original post on this topic, but did Brian ever state whether he was reading the output in key down CW mode, into a purely resistive load (dummy load), or in a SSB mode? If the latter, the meter will only show about 50-60 watts output which is the average output in SSB.
        As far as the RS-50 P/S is concerned, the current (or as some are calling it, amps) is more than enough for 100 watts output power from the radio.
  I can run my Yaesu FT-100D at full (SSB) power with an Astron RS-20 power supply with no problem. A Ham friend of mine runs his 850, a 2 metre voice and 2 metre packet radio simultaneously with his RS-35M P/S. Plus, he has his back up batteries on charge from the same supply.
       For 100 watts output, the radio should only be drawing around 20 Amperes of current.
        Our local repeater station runs 4 repeaters, 2 digipeaters and supplies charging current to our battery back up without any problems, using an Astron RS-50M power supply.
