[Kenwood] Is at-250 r.f. sensing?

Did he try to use the AT-250 in the "Auto" position?  According to the 
instruction manual it will only work with the TS430s (at the time my 
AT250 was made in the mid 80s in the "auto" position).  Otherwise, to 
use it with the TS830S or TS130s (as mentioned in the instruction 
manual), etc. the AT250 must be manually switched to whatever band is 
being used, rather than the "auto" setting on the bandswitch.  With a 
rig other than the 430 the remote cable should be connected to the 
"remote"  7 pin  connector on the rig and the ACC connector on the 
AT-250.  Using it with a TS430S, you connect it to the ACC connector on 
the 430 and trhe ACC connector on the AT250.
