Actually, replacing the RJ45 plug is pretty simple.  Parts and the crimp 
tool can be purchased at many home improvement stores (Lowes/Home Depot) 
here in the US as well as electronics and computer stores.  Any computer 
store should be able to do the work for you since it is the same connector 
used for network cables.
