I wouldn't use DeOxit on a pot.  Caig makes some very good cleaners for 
potentiometers, but DeOxit is a pretty strong contact cleaner and some on 
other lists have said it tends to ruin pots.  I am not coming up with the 
name in my mind, but it is either KaGold or ProGold one that Caig recommends 
for pots.  It is on their website and Radio Shack sells a set that has 
DeOxit and this cleaner in two small cans.  A bit pricey, but will clean 
many of them, hi.
