Hi Patrick,

i have pdf files of ARRL reports on both TS950S/D and TS950SDX. Let me know
if you wish to have them.
Here at home i have TS950SD and TS2000. At friend's home S51ZZ i have
TS870S. The "best" rig?? You would have to find it yourself. But for real
#digging# out, TS950 series is unbeatable. The best comfortable casual drive
is 870. All in one is TS2000. Be aware that TS950SDX is so different from
950SD that ARRL lab engineer said that he would call it (Kenwood) TS960!!
(Area of differences are, DDS from 850, FET power output sections and menu
driven settings on subdisplay. Subreceiver has cw filter and function wise
950SDX has more ergonomic and logical solutions. My advice, if it is really
"dirty" cheap buy it!

Good luck with whatever, either Kenwood is top flight!
