[Kenwood] Power Switch TS-930S

Hello group, Got a small (I hope) project
to replace a defunct power switch in a 
TS-930 for an old gentleman Ham (85 years old).
Ordered the new switch and cap from Kenwood -East
and its on its way. Haven't seen the rig yet, but
a picture from a old QST shows the switch to be
upper left. I guess my question is just removing
the top cover will get me access to the switch. Or
do I have to remove (Shudder) the front panel.

Any info is welcome
