[Kenwood] MC-60A RF Cure

Found on my MC-60A(S/N 652) that the mic jack and base cover plate had poor
electrical bonding with the base.
The paint finish of the base prevented proper bonding and actually had a
couple ohms resistance when measuring
between the jack and plate.
1. Removed the paint from the face of the four mounting attach points for
the plate.
2. I chose not to unsolder the mic jack wires to remove the jack.  Used a
exacto knife to remove the paint from
    a small area of the mic jack cut out and flat surface of the jack. Cut a
strip of aluminum(1"Lx1/8"W) from a
    soda can, be sure to remove finish from both sides. Folded the strip and
forced into the area between base
    cutout and flat side of the jack.
After installing the base plate, measured zero resistance between the plate
and jack.
Instead of adding a wire from the mic base to my ground buss, I used Bob
Heil's suggestion.
Connected a wire from Pin7(shld) and the other end to the area of the cable
clamp of the of the mic connector.
This will provide the grounding path for the mic base when connected to the
transceivers chassis ground.
