Ok, Thanks Maury. I had missed two screws on the power
supply side that were totally hidden by the B+ leads. Boy,
it sure takes a long narrow screwdriver to get those out. I
don't want to know how difficult it is to replace those
screws.

Now that I have it apart, I find that my service manual copy
is very low quality and missing some pages. Does anyone have
the manual so I can maybe get a copies of the missing pages
(41 thru 44)?  Also, at the end of the manual there are
additional pages that begin with page 29 and go to page 38,
all diagrams so that means pages before 29 and after 38 (if
any?) are also missing.

Before any testing, I did the smell test since it smoked and
zeroed in on Q2 and Q3 (markings faint), R9&10 read shorted.
Guess I lucked out, finals are likely ok. Looks like it is a
bear to get the circuit board away from the heat sink. MORE
screws to take out!

| There are screws on top and bottom that have to come out
and you have to pull the fan and heat shink for the main
power loose. The unit should come out easily.
