[Kenwood] TS-850 Drift

Please could anyone advise Me what could be the problem with my beloved
TS-850Sat...

 About 10 minutes after switch on it slowly drifts down about 10hz , not
much I know !!,  after that it is stable on Rx..
 As I use data modes a fair bit, mostly 25w or less, this drift is
noticeable when I am looking at a data signal. When I TX
the radio is stable for a while but then drifts slowly down about 40 -50Hz
then when I switch back to RX it drifts back up again quicker!!.
On RTTY today after 3 short overs at 20w it happened again!. The audio is
still clean on TX and RX and I have NO extra filters fitted.

 I installed a new CAR board 2 years ago and the radio worked fine after
that.

 Any advice would be greatly appreciated as My 850 is My favourite piece of
equipment...
