[Kenwood] Fw: TS-870 Automatic Band & Frequency Change

Hello All,

 My TS 870 has started to make automatic, unwanted, band and frequency
 changes.

 At intervals of approximately 5 minutes, it will, all of a sudden, 
start
 to beep and change bands, one after the other, until it finally stops 
in
 the CW position on a different band than where it started out.

 It is very disconcerting, particularly when waiting to call a station 
in
 a pile-up and then, all of a sudden, having the beeping and band 
changes
 start.

 Any ideas of what is going on?
