[Kenwood] TM-V708A/TM-D700D Is it all that?

I love my D700
I don't think I would like a D708, it looks like that there is no way
to program it with a computer, BIG mistake by Kenwood on that.
I can see the need to offer a dual bander with out a tnc but do not
see the reason for not puting in tha ability to program the radio with
a computer.
If it were not for the impossable to see, lines through the screen,
poor contrast, pile of dodo display of the V7a I would recomond it
above the 708
