[Kenwood] TK-240 & KSC-8

Gentlemen:

I am looking for information on programming the model TK-240 handheld.
I have seen the "mods DK" article but it leaves some questions
unanswered.  The good part is that it appears that this unit is field
programmable.

Also, re: the KSC-8 charger.  How does this determine when a battery
pack is fully charged?  The original packs (KNB-7A) are rated at
12V at 700mAhr; the common replacement is an 1100mAhr pack.  The label on
the charger says "12v at 120mA".  Does it therefore charge at a constant
120 mA for a fixed time as determined by ???

The problem is no service manual plus the included docs are virtually
useless.  Searching the net yielded little information (or I missed it).

Any help would be appreciated.
