I don't think this way, there is a difference in a "right" to freedom 
of speech (pretty good and possibly getting better under the so-called 
"conservative" judges) and a "privilege" to use the public airwaves.  
Think about it, the airwaves belong to the public, that makes perfect 
sense.  No one has any special "right" to that, it should be used to 
the benefit of the public in general.  Now, we can argue about what the 
public benefit really is, that might be interesting.

As amateurs, I think we have a big responsibility to justify our use of 
spectrum.  We have done so quite well in the past, and must continue to 
do so.  I don't quibble with that principle.  I just argue with some at 
the FCC who don't value amateur radio contributions to the public 
interest as much as I believe is due.
