Not quite true.  I understand that there are some cases that defy 
normal understanding, and that the scales are often tipped in favor of 
the "bigger" interests, there are some rules that are respected by all 
parties.  Thank goodness there are still some of them.  There are 
important Court (and legislative) cases that go different directions 
than just large special interests.  I find the press would tell another 
story, but I don't usually believe the press has the complete story, 
especially when writing about the law :-) (or heck, amateur radio!)

I understand your sentiment here, as far as I can tell.

I still think our efforts in BPL are well placed with our neighbors and 
with the ARRL, we can make headway in the long run.
