Hi,

The meter will move up when you turn down RF gain, normal.

Will radio to into tx without mic connected ?

The rig was an ebay special. I had a bad feeling about this rig. The guy said 
no refunds,

  he rig did work for 5 minutes. Then went into TX Turned off 
radioimmediatly.

Now when the radio comes on , there is no RX audio. The RF gain test is ok. 
turn the rf gain down the meter goes up

here is where it gets strange. I leave the rig on 5 secons later the freq 
display blanks to all periodes. If I touuch the VFP knod. the fequny comes bak 
for a few seconds.
NO RX STLL
