[Kenwood] 570DG cracked display plastic

Have TS-570DG with cracked plastic (the clear plastic part covering the
orange display). I assume from the design that the complete front panel
(none of the electronics) needs to be removed and replaced. May be able to
do that myself. Ideas needed.

I have a TS-2000 and a TS-440S/AT, so if this rig needs shop repair for some
reason, any recommendations other than Kenwood Service? The last service I
ever needed was on the 440, which was fully refurbished by AVvid... will
never see an expert like Clif again.

Why the crack in the 570 plastic? It got hit, while I was ill and not home,
with something really heavy. I thought the rig was basically ruined. Hardly.
I disassembled it to give it a looking over, decided to apply power today at
the new QTH, and other than the fact I don't yet have an antenna figured
out, all is well on receive using just a big coil of wire on the floor, and
the xmt works fine into a dummy load.
