[Kenwood] TS940 on CW

Hi All

I tried to use my recently acquired TS940 on the WPX CW contest this weekend just gone but the keying characteristic with the monitor is so soft that it is useless above 20wpm. I was also being asked for repeats so think that the keyed RF output is also suspect. Does anyone have any thoughts please? I have a technical manual on CD.

Thankfully my old TS930 performed spotlessly so all was not lost - 722 QSOs in total. However, I think that the TS940 Rx is marginally better than the '930 in contest conditions.
