Thanks to Dave, I have been able to determine the problem lies within the
TS-520S itself. If I feed the DG-5 with an external power source it works
great. However as soon as I plug it into the rig it pops the 2 Amp fuse. Any
ideas??

Received a nice email from a gentleman named Dave . Looks like the fault is
in the rig :-(:-(:-( Any ideas what to check:

:Dave, Thanks.... The cord checked good.

I then hooked it up to an external source. IT WORKED. Then tried it back on
the 520 and pop went the fuse. So now I know it's in the rig. Bummer I have
been looking for a DG-5 for years.... Thanks

Yes, the DG-5

See if you can power it up externally, or check it's 12 volt line for a
short.

Hello just got through re arranging the shack. As I leaned over the TS520s
to connect the DG-5 II accidentally powered everything off. hit the power
switch. I did this at the same time I was plugging in the power cord from
the DG-5. I heard a slight click/pop. I then noticed that the rig was on. I
shut everything down. I then I turned it back on the radio was ok but no
display from the DG5. I then did the following.

1.	I replaced the 2AMP fuse on the back off the radio.
2.	Fired up the radio still nothing from the DG-5
3.	Shut it down and checked the 2 Amp fuse it was blown.
4. Again I replaced the 2AMP fuse on the back off the radio.
5.	Fired it up still nothing from the DG5.
6.	Shut it down and found that again the 2 Amp fuse was blown.
7.	I replaced the 2 amp fuse and removed the power cord from the DG-5 .
8.	Fired up the rig and let it run for 30 minutes.
9.	Shut off the rig and checked the 2 amp fuse it was fine.
10.	Let everything sit for 24 hours. Plugged back in the DG05 Powered on
the radio.
11.	Nothing from the DG-5, Shut it down and checked the fuse it was
blown

The radio is working great. The Dg-5 was working fine prior to this
incident.

Any ideas?? Thanks Jim
