[Kenwood] TS-820S display reads 9000/19000/29000

I remember reading on this list somewhere that a digital display reading of 9000,19000 or 29000 depending on the band, was an indication of "something", but I can't find the post that described the cause.

My 820S just started doing this. I tried using "whiteout" over the numbers, but no matter what I change them to, they stay the same.   ;)
