[Kenwood] TMV7 Automatic Offset on UHF?

My TMV7 recently locked up.

After performing a hard reset, I began to re-program the memory channels.
All went well until I began programming the UHF side. There, I cannot get
the radio out of simplex mode. I went to the repeater offset menu, (#5).
There, I only find the UHF offset, which, according to the display, is set
to 5 MHZ as it should be. On the UHF side, however, I do not find the
Automatic Offset function within that menu. It appears when the radio is in
the VHF mode, and it works there just fine.

Have I accidentally turned the wrong item on or off, or what am I missing
here?
