[Kenwood] ACC jack and VOX

I have been thinking about how to hook up a sound card
interface to the Kenwood TS-B2000 in the simplest way.
 I know that you can hook it up to the mic jack and
use VOX for switching into transmit, which is nice
because it doesn't require the use of a serial port on
the computer (mine are filled up, and want to keep it
simple, and have no USB ports).  Can you do the same
with the ACC jack in the back?  I know you can use it
for digital programs, as I have done it before, but
not sure if the audio in pins will work with VOX or
not?  Anyone tried this with success yet?
