DetoxIT D5:   A deoxidizing solution only primarily designed for
                      heavily oxidized and dirty switches and connectors.
                      This solution is flammable, and contains no drying
                      or lubricating chemicals. This solution can
                      permeate pourous insulating materials such as
                      phenolic and make them conductive when used in
                      in excess. When used, apply sparingly in 2, 3, or
                      or more treatments, rotate switch back and forth
                      through positions. Remove all excess with a lint
                      free cloth or lint free swab (not Q-Tip). Available
                      in spray, bottle with brush-on applicator, or squeeze
                      tube. This solution can also damage certain older
                      plastic insulating materials. Do a test spot if not
sure.

DetoxIT Dn5: Available in 100 % or 10 % solutions. This cleaner
                      is non-flammable and safe for use on plastics and
                      other insulating materials. The 100 % solution
                      contains a drying agent, but no lubricant. The 10 %
                      solution contains a drying agent, and a mineral oil
                      based lubricant. This is your best all-round cleaning
                      and lubricant agent for switches (the 10 %).

ProGold:        For use on switches in new equipment only.
                      Contains a lubricant and cleaning solution that
                      ionically bonds with the plated material of new
                      (non-oxidized or not dirty) switches.

CailLube MCL:  The best cleaner and lubricant for carbon
                         composition potentiometers and and audio fader
                         controls. Will not damage plastic or other
                         insulating materials in the control.

For heavily oxidized and dirty switches try one or more treatments
of D5. Remove all excess solution with lint free cloth or swab. Let
stand overnight, and use an application of 10 % Dn5 as a finishing
touch. The 10 % Dn5 will provide the lubricant your switch needs.

If you can obtain a new or used hypodermic syringe (a shot
needle), this is the best device in the world to give your switches
and pots a shot of Caig cleaners. It gets in the tight slits of pots,
and allows you to put the cleaner at the right place, and in the
right amount on switches. It also prevents a mess due to over-
spray.

NEVER use a pencil eraser or burnishing tool to clean switch
contacts. The abrasive action of these will remove the plating
material on the switch, and will create bigger problems in future.

NEVER use WD-40 (a water displacement lubricant for mechanical metal parts)
on electronic controls.
