Sorry, life is not a movie, just because the signal carrying the Internet
is available at your plug doesn't mean they can spy on you, you still have
to have a device to do the spying.
I oppose BPL for technical reasons, putting RF inside a home that has
sensitive receivers is a bad idea. I am not worried about them spying on
me. If they wanted to spy on my Internet activities, they can do that now,
but wires with RF on it can't spy on me.
