[Kenwood] MC 60A question

I was told about a year ago you can use either your preamp or the Kenwood
radio speech processor, but not both at the same time. I ran my MC-60 for a
year with the pre-amp on. I now run it with the pre-amp off, speech
processor on, mic gain on my TS-570DG at 60 and receive excellent audio
reports.
