[Kenwood] Bad smell.

Hi All,
          my TS 850 after many years of faultless performance has =
started to emit a dreadful smell when in xmit mode.
My tech. has not been able to trace the source of this smell and no =
smoke is emitted.
He has most manual info but not the inter-connection wiring of =
connections between the boards, can anyone help? Any help as to what is =
causing this smell or the inter-board wiring diagrams would be much =
appreciated.
He has just told me the rig has died and will not go into xmit mode !!
