[Kenwood] TS-850 "Fine" Tuning?

Hi Bob,
The way it should work is that, "Fine" changes the amount of turning it
takes
to move the display 1 kKz.

With the "Fine" engaged it should take 1 complete turn of the dial to move 1
kHz.
Without "Fine" being engaged it should take 1 turn to move 10 kHz.

Try using the set screw in the tuning knob as a point of reference and set
the display so it ends in  .00 turn the dial 1 turn and see how much the
display changes. Then engage the "Fine" control and go one turn again while
watching the display.

If this is not happening there is a problem.

Hi Guys

I don't think my "fine" function is working. I push the button and hear the
beep, the "fine" lights up in the display but the VFO doesn't change the
freq. any slower than when it's not engaged.  Could I have missed something?
