[Kenwood] Programming the TH-225A (and others?)

Hi.
A request concerning possible download of a manual for the TH-225A received
the reply that it wasn't available and listed several different "manual
copiers" I could order one from.

HOWEVER, my request did obtain the basic information I needed, primarily how
to program it.  Below is their reply and may be of use to owners of other
transceivers of similar age (TH-215 etc).

Dear Kenwood Customer:

Thank you for your e-mail.  Easy programming for the TH-215A,315A, 415A,
225A

1. Press the ENTER key, and enter your frequency from the keypad (example
146.670).
2. Press the OFFSET/F KEY to select your offset - or +
3. Selecting a Tone/Encode, first turn on tone by pushing in the TONE switch
on the top of  the radio.
4. Selecting a TONE press the F key, and then the R/TONE.F. The display will
show the tone frequency.  Now push the up or down arrow to the desired
tone/encode
5. Press the ENTER key to complete the selection.
6. Entering the information into memory, press the M Key, the display will
indicate the M and any memory data already put memory. Select a memory
(example 5) and immediately press M key to store it.
