[Kenwood] 850 Noise Blanker ??

    For what it's worth and assuming that the 850's NB is the same as the
950SDX, neither NB1 nor NB2 on my 950 make any difference when no pulse type
noise is present. It's my understanding that noise blankers (a misnomer, I
think) are only for eliminating or decreasing pulse type noise, e.g.
ignition noise, the old Russian woodpecker of years ago (over the horizon
radar).
