[Kenwood] Using SM-220 with TS-940

Greetings,

    I just recently purchased a SM-220 monitor scope to use with my TS-940.
However, I appear to be having a few problems getting everything running
properly, and I also had a few questions about the scope's functionality.

    My scope has the BS-8, so I should be able to use the Pan display.
However, the only cables that came with the scope were a coax cable to
connect between the rig and the scope (for TX monitoring) and a simple RCA
cable for the IF output.  I currently have the RCA connected between the
scope and IF out 1.  Do I also need the RCA from IF out 2 to connect to the
Vertical input for the pan to work properly, or is that only for monitoring
the incoming signal?  Additionally, the book with the scope informs me that
the adapter kit for the BS-8 was supposed to come with another graticule for
the display.  Needless to say, I only have one graticule, and that is the
one installed on the scope.  How can I tell which one I do not have, and is
it even possible to find the other one?  How do they differ?

    As far as the waveform monitoring goes, is it possible to have the scope
trace the TX waveform like the Icom 781 does, for instance?  (It has the
peaking waveform centered in the display).  What I have been able to have my
SM-220 doing is presenting me with a rolling waveform, as it is transmitted.
What the problem I can see with this is, that before I can really see what
is going on, the waveforms have scrolled off the screen!  Any advice on how
to better use this excellent scope to my advantage are appreciated!  I'm
currently using HP oscilloscopes in my electronics lab (I'm an EE student)
so I am fairly familiar with the terminology.
