I see very expensive radios  that are said to be only a month old (or
whatever) on sale on ebay quite a bit. It makes wonder why a person would
spend all that, then turn right around and sell it. I am always
suspicious. This seems to reinforce my suspicions. The person bought it,
connected a mic to it that caused a circuit failure, then since he has no
idea how to begin to repair it, he puts it on ebay and sells his trouble
to someone else. Unfortunately ebay prices tend to run high, so not only
can the guy get rid of his trouble, he can get good money for it. Its a
shame.

All that said, I buy stuff on ebay too. So far so good for me, but then I
do tend to buy stuff that is old, or stated to not work, so I am rarely
unpleasantly surprised.
